An "Easy Rider" isn't a motorbike you hire. It's a person: a local who carries you, and reads the road as he goes.
The idea is older than the tourist loop. A rider who grew up on these mountains takes the wheel; you take the back seat. He knows which corner the fog sits in at eight in the morning, which roadside stall does the good thermos coffee, and which family will wave you in for tea. You hold on and look.
For most travellers it's simply the better way to see Ha Giang. The roads here are steep, wet and genuinely demanding, not the place to learn a clutch. Hand the driving to someone who does it every week and the whole trip changes shape: you arrive relaxed, you remember the views instead of the gear changes, and if you've never held a licence it makes no difference at all.
